What’s the first thing you think of when you open your eyes in the morning? Is it a disgruntled sigh? A mental list of the day’s activities? How much different do you think your day would be if it began with a thought of gratefulness? What if you woke up every morning and the first thing you did was give thanks for something, anything?! I’d venture to say you might catch yourself smiling more, among other things.
Cultivating an attitude of gratitude is probably one of the most overlooked aspects of a healthy lifestyle and diet. Along with changing your outlook on life, it can help bolster the immune system and decrease overeating and cravings.
