Anti-inflammatory Smoothie

Turmeric root, cinnamon, chia and flax seeds, and dark leafy greens are rich in anti-inflammatory properties.  Coconut water is nature’s sport drink, containing significant amounts of potassium, mangesium, and other vitamins and minerals.  And dark leafy greens like kale are a superfood of cleansing and healing properties. 

1 1/2 cups coconut water
1/2 cup frozen mangos or 1 frozen banana
2 leaves of kale (or as much as you can palate)
1 inch fresh turmeric root
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tb chia and/or flax seeds

optional: add a sugar free protein powder for post workout or meal replacement
Blend all together on high and drink up!
