To me, “happy” and “healthy” = dairy free and sugar free. While I don’t put dairy in the same category as sugar, I find that my body and I are much happier without it…and a whole cup of sugary-milkiness would lead to tummy-ache!Ingredients:
- 1/4 + 1/8 cup raw cacao powder
1/2 cup of dates, pitted
3 cups almond milk and/or coconut milk
1 pinch of sea salt
1 tsp vanilla
few drops of hazlenut or peppermint extract (optional)
Blend all ingredients together on high in blender until smooth and creamy.
If drink is too thick for your liking, add water until desired consistency is reached.
Warm in small pot. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne, or cacao nibs for extra deliciousness and health benefits.
